Everybody’s always talking about Blu, the “best” gelateria in Barranco (ice cream place). But I don’t really agree.. I would say Bosco Magico is better, and isn’t as famous so you still has a “non-tourist” vibe. Don’t you just love the cosy and fairy-tale look?
Bosco magic uses organic milk and fresh seasonal fruits. The gelato is artisanal, and you can really taste the difference. And a portion of the profit goes to an orphanage in a village near Lima, so… take a second scoop!
My favorite flavor is DEFINITELY palta (avocado). It sounds weird, but it’s actually amazing, a very smooth texture and a great taste (not too sweet). I can only recommend it, strongly, for I’m missing words to describe it. And you can ask to try a spoon before choosing your flavor so try the most exotic ones!
